SUMMER FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Fairhaven School will host a Student Summer Meal curbside distribution on Wednesdays from 10am-Noon. The first distribution will be June 5, 2024 and continue through July 31, 2024. Summer Meal distribution includes shelf stable items, fresh produce, hotdogs, and bologna as available. Your student must have an approved application on file to participate. Fairhaven School offers breakfast and lunch each day in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA recognizes 5 food groups important to each meal: whole grains, meat/meat alternate, fruit, vegetables, and dairy.
Our school participates in Offer vs. Serve, where students in High School can select each component of the meal they want instead of our cafeteria team serving the whole meal.
Students must select at least 3 food items (with at least one fruit/vegetable component) to create a complete meal.
Our cafeteria team is here to guide students on selecting a complete meal to avoid being charged for a la carte items individually.
